In the same way that you do not wash a coton t-shirt like a silk shirt or a wool sweater, you may not wash your everyday dishes like your crystal glasses, your wedding porcelain or your handmade knives and cutlery.
Indeed, humidity, heat and chemicals always weaken, more or less, your tableware and kitchen articles.
Cracks, stains, whitening... are signs that show, often too late, that your dishes would have preferred to be washed by hand.
We can only advise you to handwash articles that are dear to you with a soft sponge and quickly wipe them.
It is the best way to keep their shine and your knives' cutting edge.

Particular case of juniper wood
Juniper wood can ooze. This can make the handle a bit sticky.
You can solve the problem by wiping the handle with a rag soaked in a little with nail remover or a multi-purpose stain remover adapted to wood.
